HÀ NỘI — Nguyễn Ngọc Phát beat nearly 四0 rivals to triumph at the Việt Nam – Ford Freestyle Football Championship 二0 一 八, which wrapped up in Hà Nội over the weekend.
With this win, Phát will earn the right to compete at the upcoming Red Bull Street Style World Finals.
The event, being organised for the sixth time, aims to bring freestyle football to the youth, and Vietnamese freestyle football to the world.
The event was attended by leading examiners of the world, such as Nguyễn Hoài Nam, who is Vietnamese-born but raised in Dublin, Ireland, and is one of the world’s iconic freestyle footballers; and Yosuke Yokota, who was the runner-up at the Red Bull Street Style World Finals, held in São Paulo, Brazil, in 二00 八.
The tournament is recognised by the International Freestyle Football Association.
